Building a business strictly from referrals and friendships has been a rewarding journey, and we hope our next path includes picturing you along with your closest loved ones. The color turquoise, baby smiles, anything sweet and cattle are just a few of my favorite things in life. My husband Ryan is my rock and our sons Dalton and Tucker are the best things that have ever happen to us. Our favorite adventures as a family are time spent together traveling Canada and the United States and laughing constantly until it hurts. Nothing tastes as good as a black cup of freshly ground coffee, and homemade meals are better than anything you can buy. Feelings, expressions and natural beauty are the gifts I enjoy capturing for our clients. I believe a photographer has a rare opportunity to look into someone's life through the eye of a lens. Whether this be witnessing special moments with a bride during her wedding day or documenting a family during a certain point in their lives, I take each photo shoot to heart and considers myself so blessed to be a part of it. Photo shoots are meant to be fun, personal and creative, allowing me to snap images of the day which will become a treasured archive for generations to come. I love making children laugh, allowing the bride and groom to relax and feel confident in front of the camera and working quickly, yet efficiently, to make the session time feel enjoyable. I'm obsessed with beautiful natural light but am enjoying darker situations where a flash is needed also. When I reveal your photos, my goal is to create tears of joy and smiles of appreciation, for then I know I have exceeded all expectations, making my heart full. Faye Smith is the newest addition to the team at Rural Route Photography. As a recent graduate from Kansas State University studying Agricultural Communications and Journalism, she learned to enjoy all aspects of communications and marketing. Faye enjoys the many hats of being a creator from writing and graphic design to photography and videography.

At Kansas State, Faye was able to lead the “The Agriculturist” magazine as the editor for two semesters, was a member of her sorority Kappa Kappa Gamma, and held many leadership roles through campus organizations.

Creativity, visual communications, and people are her specialties. Faye is excited to be able to join the team to develop strong client relationships and create next-level photography for both their businesses and special family keepsakes.

Wow, thank you for taking the time to get to know us better! Cassie and I have been a duo for almost a decade, sharing the same passion for people, creativity, and shear happiness when clients see the images we have captured and delivered to them.   When someone entrusts us to be their photographer, it's a job we don't take lightly. I mean, we keep the session light, that's key to photographing real emotions, but we aim to make everything perfect for the outcome you are hoping to achieve. For corporate shoots, I want to make sure the details perfectly match the marketing that's to be accomplished. With our marketing expertise also, we understand completely how important these images are to connecting with your customers.   For lifestyle photo sessions, expect to enjoy some laughs along the way. Don't forget your favorite beverage, the atmosphere you feel comfortable in, and loved ones by your side because that's our style!   I absolutely can't do without my cowboy boots, fashionable western decor, and Dr. Pepper. My husband Cody and I are huge youth supporters, and nothing warms my heart more than to do a family session with adorable kiddos. I love everything turquoise, Hereford and Angus cattle, great Mexican food, and gorgeous evenings surrounded by our family held near and dear to our hearts. We welcomed our daughter, Kyla Jo, into the world on May 29, 2021, and we have enjoyed growing our family while serving the agriculture industry and photographing our favorite clients.   I look forward to capturing what means most to you!
